CDC Country Director Encourages Public to Help in COVID-19 Fight

Video Message – In this video message, the Country Director for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Namibia, Dr. Eric Dziuban, encourages all Namibians to help the CDC and the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) in the fight against COVID-19.

The MoHSS and CDC are working full-time together, with the support of the U.S. Government, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Namibia, states Dr. Dziuban in the video.

He encourages all to implement good hygiene practices and to maintain a safe social distance when in public areas. Anyone who shows COVID-19 symptoms – a dry cough, a fever of 38°C or greater, or difficulty breathing – should dial the toll-free number 0800 100 100 to talk to a trained COVID-19 operator.

“When you help prevent the spread of COVID-19, you might be saving the lives of others. The power is in our hands,” says Dr. Dziuban.
