Opportunities at the Embassy

Welcome to the Procurement Section of the General Services Office.  The Embassy of the United States of America in Namibia procures a wide variety of goods and services—everything from vehicles to janitorial services—and encourages local businesses to participate in these opportunities.

WARNING – The U.S. Embassy is aware of an ongoing tender scam using our USAID mission name to fraudulently request quotations for medical equipment from local Namibian vendors, including a P200LX electric wheelchair.  The “fake” USAID then rejects all claims of like items until the Namibian vendor produces a quote of the exact model, only provided online by another “fake” company.

If your business receives a tender from a “Mr. Sean Morgan or Ms. Michelle Russel” using the email address michelerussell@na-usembassy-gov.com, please do not act on this request and contact us immediately at whkproc@state.gov.

U.S. Government procurement follows strict regulations outlined in the U.S. Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). These regulations require all U.S. Government agencies to advertise planned purchases over $25,000 USD to https://www.fbo.gov/.

We encourage all vendors interested in bidding on legitimate opportunities to monitor our website.
