Hileni Amuthenu, 27, Otjiwarongo – Georgia State University, Public Management

Hileni Amuthenu is a high school teacher who is currently enrolled for a Master’s degree in Education, specializing in Curriculum and Assessment with the University of Namibia. She holds an Honors degree in Education and a certificate in Portuguese and Business Entrepreneurship. She is a Curriculum panel member at the National Institute of Education and an alumna of the YALI Regional Leadership Conference Cohort 9. She is a youth activist that takes pride in inspiring, empowering, and transforming the lives of her learners. Her aim is to establish a youth program which offers remedial classes, mentoring, career guidance, and leadership training. She plans to create links, connections, and form partnerships with different organizations, and especially those offering scholarships to help fund OVC’s and previously disadvantaged yet talented learners.
