Lavinia Mbongo serves as the Head of the Quality Surveillance Laboratory at the Ministry of Health and Social Services under the Namibia Medicine Regulatory Council responsible for analysing medicines, providing advice on the quality of medicines to policy makers, policy development, and translating complex science-based policies to stakeholders.
She is involved in establishing a hydroponic farming project which aims at educating the community on different ways to produce nutrient products using a less expensive method.
She aspires to be able to confidently address societal and economic challenges, and create and strengthen relations or linkages with national and international scientific communities.
Furthermore, Ms. Mbongo would like to see every Namibian having access to adequate nutritious food.
