Ten high school students from Miami, Florida, met with U.S. Ambassador to Namibia Thomas Daughton on July 21. The students were visiting Namibia as part of the Nyah Project Fellowship, a program founded on the belief that travel awakens leaders and develops diverse youth leaders through transformative experiences abroad. Since arriving in the country last week, the group traveled around Namibia with Michelle McLean-Bailey, former Miss Universe 1992. As part of the group’s outreach, it visited the Michelle McLean Primary School in Otjomuise, Windhoek.
