Shaatuna Kalla is a senior magistrate. Her job entails ensuring that criminal justice is administered to all without any fear, favour, or prejudice.
As a way of ploughing back to the community, she partners up with schools in underdeveloped communities to mentor and motivate scholars to reach greater heights, and to educate them on legal matters and social issues which affect them.
She has a BA Law as well as an LLB degree from the University of Johannesburg and is currently pursuing a third degree in Development Studies through the University of South Africa.
Shaatuna is also an alumna of the YALI Regional Leadership Conference in South Africa. She is passionate about law and community development, and aspires to be a renowned judge in the future.
Upon completion of the Fellowship, she hopes to apply the knowledge and skills obtained from the program as well as the wisdom from the networks created to improve the way justice is administered in Namibia.
